Disney Speedstorm’s Progression System Update

Disney Speedstorm, developed by Gameloft, has faced criticism for its overly complex progression system that has left players feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. However, an upcoming update set to launch in Season 7 promises to overhaul the system and improve the overall player experience. This update aims to simplify the upgrade process by introducing a new currency called Upgrade Coins and streamlining the way players collect materials for their favorite racers.

Currently, Disney Speedstorm features a convoluted progression system that requires players to collect a wide variety of upgrade materials for each racer. With almost 80 unique upgrade materials to keep track of, it’s easy for players to end up with materials they don’t need or want. This system has been a major point of contention among players, with many feeling frustrated by the randomness and confusion it introduces into the game.

The Solution: Introducing Upgrade Coins

In response to player feedback, Gameloft has announced that Season 7 will introduce a new, single upgrade currency called Upgrade Coins. This new currency will replace the existing upgrade materials, making it easier for players to understand what they need to upgrade their favorite racers. Additionally, the blog post detailing the update includes a table outlining the cost of each upgrade level in Upgrade Coins, providing players with a clear roadmap for progression.

One of the main criticisms of the current system is its lack of transparency and the perceived intention to push players towards spending real money. While the upcoming update won’t address all of these concerns, it represents a step in the right direction towards a more player-friendly experience. By consolidating upgrade materials into a single currency and providing clearer upgrade paths, players can expect a more rewarding and less frustrating gameplay experience.

With Season 7 set to launch in April, players can look forward to a revamped progression system that aims to make the game more accessible and enjoyable for all. While the theme of the new expansion has yet to be announced, past seasons have introduced new themed tracks and Disney racers, adding to the game’s immersive experience. As the game continues to evolve and improve, players can expect more updates and improvements to come in the future.
