Moon Studios Announces Early Access Release Date for No Rest For The Wicked

Moon Studios, the renowned developer behind the popular Metroidvania games Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps, has recently unveiled the early access release date for its upcoming game, No Rest For The Wicked. This new game is a departure from their previous titles, taking on a Diablo-style action roleplaying game approach. While it retains the stunning painterly art style and fast-paced action elements from the Ori series, No Rest For The Wicked introduces players to a whole new world of combat and gameplay dynamics.

In No Rest For The Wicked, players will embark on a journey as a magical holy warrior, battling against cursed creatures in a dark fantasy realm. The combat in the game is described as “brutal” and “precision-based,” focusing on more intimate encounters rather than large-scale battles typically seen in Diablo-style games. The early access version will offer players a glimpse into the game’s mechanics, including rebuilding settlements, engaging in side quests, and customizing their characters with various weapons, gear, and skills.

The early access version of No Rest For The Wicked will feature the opening chapter of the campaign, multiple side quests, and a range of customization options for players to experiment with. Additionally, players can look forward to replayable dungeons and daily challenges to keep them engaged in the game. Moon Studios plans to add more content, such as four-player co-op, new regions, farming mechanics, and other enhancements before the game reaches its final 1.0 version.

While the game is initially launching on Steam early access, Moon Studios has also announced plans to release No Rest For The Wicked on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in the future. Early impressions of the game have been positive, with Gamesradar describing it as “mesmerizing.” This sets a promising tone for the game’s early access phase and suggests that players can expect an exciting and immersive experience as they journey through the world of No Rest For The Wicked.
